  • Every single item in our store and in our auctions is 100% brand new.
Are all of your items genuine?
  • Every single Better Jewelry item is 100% brand new and authentic. Every sterling silver item is stamped with .925 and every gold item is stamped with the appropriate karat or the universal equivalent. All diamond jewelry comes with an appraisal of authenticity.
Do you offer lay-away?
  • Yes, we do offer a lay-away plan, which is a wonderful option especially before the holidays. Since most of our sterling silver items are of limited quantities and the popular pieces sell out quickly, if there is something you like but money is a bit tight right now, we offer a lay-away plan. You would have to put down an initial 20% of the full amount and we will hold the item for you for 2 months. If you have paid off the entire amount by then, we will ship your item out. If, however, you have not completed your payment within 2 months, your item will no longer be held and your deposit is non-refundable. Please email us at ebay@betterjewelry.com

Payments
 
How long do I have to pay for my item?
  • You have 7 days from the end of the auction or from the time you purchase an item from our store inventory to complete your payment. If you have a specific reason for why you need a time extensions, please let us know and we will work it out on an individual basis.
What happens if I don’t pay within 7 days?
  • Every purchase on eBay is a binding contract and buyers and sellers have to work together in order to sustain the integrity of the eBay marketplace. We understand that occasionally buyers need some extra time and our payment policy reflects this.
  • We will send you a reminder invoice on the third day.
  • Another reminder will be sent on the 10th day.
  • If payment is not received, an unpaid item dispute will be filed on the 14th day.
  • Exactly one week after the claim is filed, if payment is still not received, a negative feedback will be left.
What payment methods do you accept?

  • Please be advised that money orders and checks may take up to 14 days to clear. Your item will not be shipped until your payment clears.
  • Money orders and checks should be made out to Better Jewelry. Please include your item number along with the payment. Money orders / checks that are missing the item number will result in a delay of order processing.

Do you charge sales tax?
  • Only NY state residents are required to pay sales tax, which is 8.375%.

Shipping
 
How much is shipping?
  • All shipping prices are clearly stated in our auction. If you want overnight or expidited shipping, please contact us for pricing and item availability.
When will you ship my item?
  • We generally ship within 2-4 business days after payment has cleared. Orders placed on Friday after 2pm, Saturday or Sunday will be processed on Monday. International orders are shipped out on Thursdays and Saturdays only. (Please take into account our processing time - i.e. If you place an international order on Friday it will be shipped out the following Thursday)
  • We ship out all orders as quickly as possible. Depending on the item and availability, the time for shipment will vary. On the rare chance that we are unable to ship within this designated time frame, you will be notified of the delay and if requested, a full refund will be issued immediately.
  • Please allow extra time for customized orders. If you need resizing or plating, be advised that we will need approximately a week to complete these types of special orders.
How long will it take for my item to arrive?
  • Transit time is specified by the shipping company such as USPS or FedEx. Please be advised that we have no control over the package once it is handed over to be shipped.
  • We cannot be held responsible for items that have been stolen from your mailbox. If the delivery confirmation states that the item has been delivered, we cannot file a lost claim. If the item is lost or broken in transit, we will file an insurance claim, provided you have purchased insurance. At the earliest, claims can be filed two weeks post shipping date.
What if my item is lost or broken during shipping?
  • If the item is lost or broken in transit, we will file an insurance claim, provided you have purchased insurance. We cannot be held responsible for items that have been stolen from your mailbox. If the delivery confirmation states that the item has been delivered, we cannot file a lost claim. At the earliest, claims can be filed two weeks post shipping date.
What are your payment and shipping policies for international buyers?
  • International buyers can only pay via paypal or Western Union in USD.
  • You must include your phone number for the customs form.
  • International buyers are responsible for all custom duties and taxes associated with the item.

    » UK / Japan / France / Austria / Argentina / Denmark / Bahamas / Germany / Spain / Holland / Hong Kong / Italy / Netherlands / Switzerland / Russia / China:
    $25.00 / USPS Priority Mail International. Insurance Included. Generally takes 6-10 business days.
    $45.00 / FedEx Priority International. Includes tracking and insurance.

    All other countries should email us regarding shipping price.

  • Occasionally, international packages are held at customs. Once at customs, each package is processed differently and can take either several days or even longer. Each country has specific guidelines on how it processes international imports. We have no control over this process. While we will do our best to assist you through this process, please be patient and understanding of the fact that we have no jurisdiction over international customs procedures.
  • International orders are shipped out on Thursdays and Saturdays only. (Please take into account our processing time - i.e. If you place an international order on Friday it will be shipped out the following Thursday)

Returns
 
What is your return policy?
  • We have a 100% money back guarantee. If you are dissatisfied with your item for any reason, you may return it for a full refund, without a restocking fee – no questions asked.
  • You must contact returns@betterjewelry.com within 7 days of receiving your item, so that we may issue you an RMA#. The RMA# must be included with your return package. Packages which are sent without an RMA# will be returned to the sender. All items must be received within 2 weeks from the time that you were issued an RMA#. Items returned after this time, will be returned to the sender, without a refund.
  • Sender is responsible for all shipping costs associated with the returned package, as well as insuring the returned item.
  • All items must be returned in original condition, unaltered, unworn and in the original packaging. If any alterations were done to the item while in the buyer’s possession, it is non-refundable.
  • Only the cost of the item will be refunded; shipping costs are non refundable.
  • Custom orders are non-refundable. For example, if you requested your item to be resized or set with different stones, you can not return this item.
When will I receive my refund?
  • Once the returned item is received, it usually takes 1-5 business days to process your return and issue a refund.
How will my refund be applied?
  • Your refund will be issued in the same form as your payment was received.
What if my item needs repair?
  • If you have purchased your item from us within 6 months, we will fix clasps or broken links, replate and reset stones for free. If your item was purchased over 6 months ago, please inform us of the needed repairs and we will give you a price. Re-plating will cost $10.00. Please email us at support@betterjewelry.com.
